Hey girl hey! I have had this blog post idea in my head for about two months, and when I put on this all blue outfit I knew it was the perfect time. I don’t know if it’s the weather or this time of the year, but I have been feeling kind of down a lot more than usual lately.  But, I have come up  with 5 different things that help me when I feel down, and I want to share them with y’all!

BUBBLE BATH: This is my go to when I am feeling sad, discouraged, sick, or when I just want some alone time.  I absolutely love this bubble bath potion (?!) it makes your bath so bubbly (that’s a word right?!) and it smells great! It really helps you to relax.  I also like to play some of my favorite music, and just take a break from the world for a while.  I could literally sit in the bathtub for hours, but I have to protect my tan LOLZ!

MAKE A PROS AND CONS LIST: Recently when I am feeling down about my day and that nothing is going my way, I like to make a pro and con list on my phone.  I first like to start listing out everything good that has happened that day, or week.  Then I list out all the cons/negatives that have happened. 99.9% of the time you can list out more good than bad, and that really helps me to get out of a bad mood.  Also, after making the con list I like to go over it again and write how to make those cons better. I don’t know what it is about listing this stuff out, but I swear it is so therapeutic.

GO ON A WALK: This is so cliche, and I am the first to admit I do not like being in the outdoors or working out.  But, going on a short walk in the morning or afternoon really gives me a sense of accomplishment and it’s really good for you.  You get some vitamin D, and you get some endorphins! It doesn’t even have to be a long walk, just 30 mis is helpful. Just put on some of your fav music or listen to an audio book, anything to clear your mind!

I’m just going to leave this here 😉

FACE MASK: I just recently got into face masks again and I love them! It feels so good to wash off all your makeup and then putting on a face mask for 20-30 mins.  My current favorite is this glitter mask, it’s so fun to put on and then all you want to do is take selfies with it! You do not need to go buy that one though, it’s such a splurge item.  So if you can’t afford it right now go get a sample of it from Sephora or go get a facemask from Target! They have some great ones and they  do the same thing!

BLAST SOME MUSIC: This is my fav mood booster because there is nothing better than blasting some Celine Dion and screaming at the top of your lungs “my heart will go on”. You will feel so much better singing and dancing around in your room or house, just making a complete fool of yourself.  I absolutely love being home alone and doing this! You know how they say you should stare at yourself in the mirror and smile/say positive things to yourself? Well that’s a little too weird for me, so I just like to stare at myself in the mirror lip-syncing. TOTALLY normal right?!

One last thing, if you are scrolling through Insta, Pinterest, or Facebook and you start to feel down on yourself like “I wish I looked like her, or had her body, or had her life, etc.” just remember it’s literally all smoke and mirrors.  No one has a perfect life.  Everyone on social media is just showing the best parts of their life and their best pictures.  Behind every blog post there are hundreds of outtakes that will never see the light of day, because people don’t post their ugly pics. So try to remember that when you are scrolling on social media!

I hope this helps y’all get out of your bad moods during the week! These have really helped me lately and I think they will help you too! And most of these don’t require you to go out and spend a ton money, because just buying more stuff doesn’t always make you feel better.

XOXO, MEGAN
